This course is designed to suit all employees, be that designated first aiders, those simply requiring a comprehensive first aid course or those in high risk work environments. The training is ideal for higher risk businesses, but nevertheless, we can adapt the course to suit the needs of any organisation if required. Delegates will gain an understanding of different incidents and injuries so that they are able to treat unconscious patients efficiently and effectively.
In order to complete the course, candidates will need to attend the following days and times:
Monday 15th July – 9:30am to 4:30pm
Tuesday 16th July – 9:30am to 4:30pm
Wednesday 17th July – 9:30am to 4:30pm
There are seven learner outcomes with this course and candidates will be taught the following areas of first aid:
As we offer QNUK regulated qualifications, learners will need to demonstrate the skills and knowledge that they have learn’t. In order for a certificate to be issued candidates will have to complete a 40 question multiple choice exam and will be asked by the trainer to demonstrate practical elements of the course. The trainer is able to assist those who may have difficulties in completing the assessment criteria, we ask you advise us prior to the course start so we may make provisions if required.
On completion of the course, learners will receive a Ofqual regulated qualification of which is valid for three years. After this period candidates will be able to re-qualify by attending and completing a two day re-qualification course. The HSE recommend Annual Skills Updates of which we can provide either as an open course, as an in-house or as an online course.
The course fee includes certification and registering with our Awarding Body, a full colour first aid manual as well as refreshments on the day.
