First Aid for Parents
This 3 hour course has been designed to be delivered in an informal and inclusive way, to teach first aid to parents, grandparents, siblings and others who have an interest in dealing with children. Having or looking after children can be a busy time but knowing how to look after them if the worst should happen gives you confidence and skills you may not have otherwise had.
Content / Learner Outcomes
- Know and show how to perform CPR on a child and a baby
- Learn the recovery position for infants
- Know how to deal with a choking child or baby
- Understand how a defibrillator works and know its benefits
This is an In-House course, learners will receive an e-certificate as well as the opportunity to upgrade to a regulated certificate.
From October 2016, the HSE no longer require providers to register with them and as such this has created an open market. With YITC you can be sure our training is both current and delivered by professionals.
